Despite some definite challenges, God has continued to work in very special ways in Brownsville! There is some uncertainty as to how the Lord will provide for the continued growth of the church plant in Brownsville. However, despite this uncertainty, God gave us a great financial blessing in Brownsville and allowed us to meet a family looking for a church! In addition, we found out that a lady who had been emailing the church for three weeks actually tried to visit Sunday morning and only missed attending because GPS directed her to the museum instead of the cafeteria building. Please pray that she will try to come back again!

This week, we continued recanvassing a significant portion of Brownsville. We were able to visit with the 94-year-old man, Mr. Louis, again. He had a hard time hearing us this time because of a lack of hearing aids, but the door is definitely still open to go back. Please pray that he will be able to hear us the next time we visit and that he would be saved this week.

Wednesday at the park was another fun day with the kids. This week, there were four girls that we were able to do songs with, and two of them were repeats from the previous week! We were also able to talk with a man named Gregory, who has a church but has not been there for years. It seems he may be saved, but he needs to get back to the Lord. Pray that he would get right with the Lord and that he would lead his three-year-old son to live for the Lord.

On Saturday, Bro. Eric headed back to Indiana to his home church, Crossroads Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Pastor Peterson and Bro. Daniel are staying through Sunday, August 14th. Please pray for wisdom and guidance from the Lord for how to proceed with the ministry in Brownsville. There is a single man who is prayerfully considering moving to Brownsville to maintain the work, but the Lord has made it clear that he would need at least one other person with him. Please pray that the Lord would provide that person!  Bro. John Reed is also going to have groups come to Brownsville every weekend, to help with outreach on Saturday and with the services on Sunday. Please pray specifically for wisdom regarding the long-term ministry in Brownsville.
