Praise the Lord for how he has worked here in Brownsville this week! Though this last week was largely spent in preparation for the next phase of the church plant, God has continued to work in some very special ways. Throughout this summer, we have seen God work time and again, though often not in the way that we expect.

On Wednesday, Lighthouse Baptist Church ran a Facebook ad inviting anyone in the Brownsville to come hear “life-changing truth” from the Bible on the following Sunday. This ad received a surprising amount of response from both people we did know and those we did not know. One lady wrote an encouraging message thanking the church for seeking to win souls. In addition, the advertisement allowed us to reach another lady who has been seeking to visit our church for the past three weeks. She was unable to attend this week because of health issues, but she was able to watch the entire morning service on livestream. She even emailed after the service to say she would like to attend the service in person with her husband as soon as she is able! Please pray that Camille will be able to come soon with her husband.

Another wonderful contact the Lord gave us this week was a man named Brian. He is of like faith and has been out of church for some time. Though he was not able to attend this week, he said he would check us out on Facebook and watch the services. Praise the Lord that he did! Please pray that Brian would be able to come soon as well.

We covet your prayers during this time as we transition to a new phase of the ministry here in Brownsville. Please pray that God will provide a permanent pastor who can take over the work, a permanent location that can function as a church building, and fruit in Brownsville that will remain as a testimony to the work God has started. God has done mighty works in Brownsville already, and we are excited to see what he will continue to do in the future!
